April OwlCrate Unboxing

OwlCrate time! Woot! The theme for the April OwlCrate was “Head Over Heels” and it was so cute and contemporary. Adorable box. Let’s just tumble right on in. In the crate this month we got the book (with a sticker!) and 5 other bookish goodies, as well as a chapter sample from upcoming Umberland by Wendy Spinale. First up was a super cool headband by Storiarts. It’s black with white font that is straight from the pages of Pride and Prejudice. I had a little trouble figuring out how to get the thing on my head but I’m sure once it’s not 100 degrees outside (and I mean that literally… South Texas) I will be trying to pull it off. Next up was a bit of tea from The Tea Spot inspired by Anna and the French Kiss. It’s loose tea leaves, and I still have my package of loose tea from the Classics box. I have got to get a tea infuser! This one is a black tea with chocolate and cherry flavoring. Yum! Next up we have a beautiful key chain Bookworm Boutique inspired by Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda. One side is a cool silver design, the other is a speech bubble with the quote, “The way I feel about him is like a heartbeat – soft and persistent, underlying everything.” I have not read Simon Vs yet, but that quote made me want to asap. Okay so I feel like the curators of these book subscription boxes have listened to our cries because there is a candle in almost every box now! I mean, no complaints, obviously! This box was no different. Created by Novelly Yours, we find a candle inspired by Rainbow Rowell’s works. And I am not a fan, however, I can appreciate this sweet and simple, vanilla scented, Park & Eleanor candle. Next up was a beautiful print designed by Evie Bookish of the well-known ACOMAF quote “To the stars who listen, and the dreams that are answered.” Side note: I am currently reading ACOMAF for the first time and OMG!!!!!! This is a gorgeous print, but honestly, when has Evie ever done anything that wasn’t absolutely flawless. The book included this month was The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli, who also authored Simon Vs. I have heard so many positive reviews about this book. I am excited to start it. Also included was the letter from the author, signed book-plate, and that cute awkward smiley sticker. It’s already on my laptop. Love it! Next month’s theme is Comic Explosion and will include a Funko Pop! And that wraps up this unboxing. Gotta go back to bb Rhys now. :)

Who is your favorite character from the Thorns and Roses series (aside from Rhysand)?
