The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals--well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow.

Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

I have just recently finished Jennifer L. Armentout’s LUX series. And  am still swooning over all the swoon-worthy-ness that is Daemon Black…( I might actually still be drooling a bit too lol)

Now I like all kinds of books , from historical romance to YA , mysteries and beyond. Throw in some hot aliens ( Daemon, of course) and I’m good too. But I have a soft spot for books about the Greek Gods and Goddess’s. So I was excited to start this new series.

So let me start off by saying that I read this entire book in one sitting ( yes, yes I did) . And what I loved most were the characters. There is a whole slew of secondary characters that are just amazing but it’s the main two, Aiden and Alex, that will just blow you away.

Aiden is a pure-blood Sentinel and he’s very good at his job. He’s devilishly handsome and can definitely kick some major butt lol. But he also has this incredibly amazing sweet side.
Then there’s Alex, who is packed full of attitude , she’s headstrong and doesn’t give up.She’s an awesome heroine and she’s totally crushing on the one person she’s not allowed to have. And what Happens when your thrown together with the one person you can’t have ?

FORBIDDEN LOVE…….that’s what.
A forbidden romance, an epic battle of the wills, HALF-BLOOD is mesmerizing and addicting. Can’t wait for the for the next book in the series.

Overall: four-half-stars
