June Nerdypost Unboxing

YAY FOR NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS! I have been following Alexis for a while on instagram. Her designs are beautiful! And I finally did a bit more research on the subscription and found out its so affordable! 13.95 a month plus shipping, which is around 6 bucks for US and you wouldn’t believe the goodies inside. As far as what is included, this is direct from the NerdyPost website:

We try to put between 5-7 items in each month’s box. Every box will include an 8.5″ x 11″ high quality print, a double-sided bookmark, an auto grade vinyl sticker, and a color-in postcard. The rest of the contents vary each month but have included: mini prints, fat bookmarks, buttons, magnets, coasters, lapel pins, notepads, notebooks, sticky notes, and much more. Be sure to check out our past boxes section to see exactly what was in each box.

The June box was the 1 Year Anniversary and Alexis included stuff from her favorite fandoms! First up we have a waffle coaster with the words “Friends Don’t Lie” to represent Eleven and the boys from Stranger Things which is one of my FAVORITE shows in the world! I love this. Also, this absolutely beautiful decal sticker with the quote, “Courage, dear heart.” from the Chronicles of Narnia world. It has a new home on my laptop, just in case you were wondering.

The next things I pulled out were the color-in postcard which, honestly, was so satisfying to color in. The best part was trying to figure out which fandom each quote was from.  The mini-print is an awesome quote about fellow book lover Samwell Tarly, from Game of Thrones. Honestly, how many times have I been in that same mindset? “One more book…” The Supernatural fandom was well represented by these incredible smelling melts from Nerd Wicks that smell like apple pie, bourbon, and hell fire. They are so strong-smelling that I think I can just put them in a dish and not actually melt them!

Alexis designed and her mother sewed these amazing Harry Potter themed bracelets. She got the inspiration for her daughters hairbands that often end up on her wrist! When you really inspect the bracelet, you can see there are dark marks, cats, wands, goblets, and the like. It’s completely understated and I’ve worn it a couple of times already! These two prints were dual-sided and I already know I’m gonna have some trouble deciding which side to display. On the left is a mini-print with a Hamilton quote and the right is a fat bookmark with one of my all time favorite Twelve quotes from Doctor Who.

Here are the back side of those prints. The bookmark has this gorgeous tribute to Leia with the quote, “Now be brave and don’t look back.” And a except from Sherlock was on the back of the mini-print. See my display dilemma?

More bookmarks. The one of the left “Let’s face it. This is not the worst thing you’ve caught me doing.” is hilarious and from IronMan. The one on the right is a beautiful LOTR inspired bookmark featuring a Gandalf quote, “The world is in your books and maps, it’s out there.” These two are dual-sided as well!

The back side of the book marks are the most beautiful, happy, brightly colored things I have ever seen in my entire life. I don’t have words. The left is Lilo & Stitch and quotes, “This is your badness level. It’s unusually high for someone your size.” The right is “I should infinitely prefer a book.” from Mary Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.

Last, but not least, is this gorgeous poster from Firefly! I just cannot get over how much amazing was squeezed into this little box. Next months theme is Alice in Wonderland and you better believe I’m already on pins and needles waiting for it to arrive.

What was your favorite fandom represented?!
