June OwlCrate Unboxing

If I have to use one word to describe this month’s OwlCrate?

GREEN.

Seriously. Almost every single item was some variation on a shade of green! It’s crazy! The theme for June was “Make it out Alive”.

First things I pulled from the box were this stunning magnet with a quote from Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir made by Little Inklings Design. I haven’t yet read that book/series but I can still appreciate this guy, with the quote, “Fear is only your enemy if you allow it to be.” Next up was this awesome patch from Laserbrain Patch Co, inspired by one of the greatest dystopian novels of all time, The Giver. Heads up, friends. If you only saw the movie, do yourself a favor and read the book. It’s short and amazing. My fifth grade self thanks you. Also included was this hilarious zombie sleep mask from Archie McPhee. I think I may re-gift this to my mama, to be perfectly honest. The dern things never stay on my face while I’m asleep!

The advertised item from Fizzy Fairy Apothecary was this awesome smelling Divergent inspired bath bomb. The cool thing about this bomb is that inside is a charm that will sort you into a different faction. Can’t wait to use this one! Also included was a second book from Of Tomes publishing called New World Rising. It was written by Jennifer Wilson and I believe is part of a series. The bookmark is also dual-sided and features quotes from ACOWAR. So lovely!

Finally the book of the month was Sandcastle Empire by Kayla Olson. I haven’t heard anything about this book before, but after reading the synopsis, I can’t wait to dive in! It sounds pretty awesome. Also included with the book was a signed bookplate, a letter from the author, and some stickers related to the book! See what I meant about GREEN being a prevalent theme!?

The theme for next month’s OwlCrate is Wanderlust!

One comment for “June OwlCrate Unboxing

  1. I’ve been debating on trying Owlcrate for almost a year and when I heard the theme for last month, I still wasn’t sure if I would like it. I regret not getting the box last month because not only have I been wanting to read The Sandcastle Empire but I love the color green. As soon as the theme for this month was announced, I finally ordered it. I’m so excited to see what comes in the mail. Love this unboxing; thanks for sharing!
