I am so happy and so sad to be doing this post. I had initially just done a three-month gift subscription to Uppercase to see if I liked it or not… and I loved it! But the three months has ended and I just don’t know at this point if it is good to continue with three subscription boxes while in grad school. But I’ll save that worry for another time. Let’s check out the goods!
So the Uppercase Box is a monthly subscription service that doesn’t adhere to a theme. They just include super cool bookish items and a book that has been released within the last 45 days. This month did not disappoint! Included was an A-DORK-ABLE pair of book earrings by Yellow Owl Workshop. I love these. One is a book stack, the other is an open book with glasses. So cute! Also included were two iron-on patches designed by Erik Bulkema. I about lost it over the “Get Lit” rainbow book patch. The kitty is also pretty cute, but I don’t know how I feel about its little ‘x’ butthole staring at me.
The book for this month was Windfall by Jennifer E Smith and it was signed! The cover is absolutely stunning, in my opinion. Windfall follows Alice and her best friend, Teddy. Teddy buys a lotto ticket on his 18th birthday and actually wins $140 million and their friendship crumbles. It sounds like the come back together in the end and a romance blossoms.
Like I said, I am gonna be sad to let this subscription go. Or should I just keep it?!
