Today I thought I’d do a quick Christmas Tag. If you end up doing the tag let me know so I can take a peak at your answers. I’m not sure who originally started it but I found this tag at The Enthusiast. Let’s get to it!
What is your favorite Christmas film?
I have a ton of Christmas movies that I love but I think my top favorite is Home Alone. No matter how many times I watch it I still find it hilarious.
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Very rarely do we have white Christmas’s in Tennessee. If I had to guess I’d say one every 5-8 years on average. It is sad because I love snow. And if we do there is a huge chance it will be just snow flurries (a big tease).
Where do you usually spend your holidays?
At home first opening presents and having Christmas dinner. Then we make our way around all the other familys’ houses.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
It has always been a tradition for my family to wait until Christmas morning. Sometimes one or two might be opened on Christmas Eve though!
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Let’s see: Donner, Vixen, Rudolph, Blitzen, Comet, Cupid and I’m pretty sure I’m missing one or two haha. I’m not sure but I’m thinking there’s 7, maybe 8 reindeer?
What holiday traditions are you most looking forward to this year?
I actually look forward to the time up until Christmas. I enjoy the gift shopping, music, decorations etc more than actual Christmas Day. On Christmas Day evening I feel a little sad it’s over so fast. Although it is always fun ringing in a new year.
Is your christmas tree real or fake?
Lately we’ve been getting a real tree. You can check out my tree here if you missed it.
What is your all time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?
Holiday food: dressing/stuffing.
Sweet treat: Red velvet cake.
Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I like both haha! I do love the process of picking out gifts for others.
What would be your dream place to visit during the holiday season?
New York! I’d love to see Times Square and the Christmas tree lighting. I’d want to stay until New Year’s and watch the ball drop.
Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I’d say I’m average. I’m definitely not a pro with the fancy bows made with ribbon and other things. I love wrapping gifts even though I may not be the best.
What made you realize the truth about Santa?
Kids I went to school with totally gave it away lol. Even though I don’t believe in Santa I still believe in the magic of him. When my daughter started asking questions I told her the story of Saint Nicholas.
Do you make New Years Resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I don’t typically make New Year’s Resolutions because I don’t stick to them. I think they can be awesome motivation if you are realistic and cut yourself some slack. But I’d always make huge goals that I couldn’t always carry out so I don’t really do it anymore. I think small goals throughout the year is more effective at least for me.
What makes the holidays special for you?
I love the downtime (and food) during the Holidays! I also love watching my daughter’s face light up when she gets things she’s been wanting for Christmas.
