Blogmas #21: Tis the Season Book Tag

The Tis the Season book tag was created last year by the booktuber, RichardDenney! Because we are getting so incredibly close to Christmas (We have less than two weeks, people!), Jessie went looking for a holiday themed tag to do! Of course, she turned to Youtube first and found this one that sounded like fun! Who wouldn’t want to do a winter-themed tag around the holidays? On to the tag!

Do you have a favorite Winter read?

I think my favorite winter read is Harry Potter because it is the perfect book/series for the winter time. Really the series can be enjoyed anytime of the year but something about rereading it during the winter is the best!

A Matter of Magic (Mairelon, #1-2)

It’s a yearly tradition for me to reread A Matter of Magic by Patricia C. Wrede between November and March. I’m thinking this year’s reread is going to be over Christmas break!

Find a book with blue on the cover!

The Eternity Cure is the perfect blue book. It is the sequel to one of my all time favorite series (The Immortal Rules). This book ends in such a heart wrenching cliffhanger. You guys should definitely read this series if you haven’t. It is about vampires but it is more of a dystopian.

The Blue Sword has blue on the cover! See it literally has the word blue on it. :) Okay. I’m not very funny but I will point out that the sword has blue magic all around it.

Find a book you’d use as the star on a Christmas tree?

I just had to choose a Christmas themed book for this one! Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares is so cute, fluffy, and Christmasy. This cover would look perfect on the top of my tree.

I’m going to kind of cheat a bit on this question, because I literally used Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett as the star on my book tree. :)

Pick one fictional place that would be perfect for a Winter vacation!

I would love to go to Paris, really ANY time would be perfect, but in the winter would be so awesome! So I had to pick Anna and the French Kiss. I want to spend tons of time sight seeing and eating all the yummy food. Hopefully one day I can get a chance to travel there…but I really hate airplanes. Although a ship would probably be worse….

Oh! That’s an easy question! I’ve always wanted to go to Hogwarts at Christmas! Christmas would be so magical there!

Pick one fictional character you’d take with you on your Winter vacation!

I’d pick Hermonie because she is just awesome! I think it would be so fun to take a winter vacation to Paris with her as a sidekick!

I would totally take Kate Daniels with me! There would never be a dull moment with her around. :)

Name one book on your Wishlist this year!

A book on my wish list this year is Six of Crows. I still haven’t read the Grisha Trilogy and I’d like to read that series before I pick this one up! I have heard such good things about this book so I will have to buy it soon!

Wake of Vultures (The Shadow, #1)

I’ve been hearing tons of great things about Wake of Vultures by Lila Bowen. I actually saw a picture of the map of this book on Twitter and it immediately made me want to read it!

Favorite Holiday drink, treat, & movie?

My favorite holiday drink is a pumpkin spice latte. A treat would have to be homemade Chocolate Meringue Pie, yum! Lastly my favorite Christmas Movie is a tie between Home Alone and Christmas Vacation.

My favorite holiday drink is minty hot chocolate! It’s actually kind of embarrassing how much thin mint coffee mate I’ve gone through so far this year. My favorite treat is red velvet and cream cheese muffins! They are SO good! And finally, my favorite Christmas movie will always be The Muppet Christmas Carol! For me, it’s not truly Christmas until I can watch it.

That’s the Tis the Season book tag! If you want to do it, consider yourself tagged! If you do it link it below so we can check out your answers!
